It is a HOT day today, at least if you're not sitting on a porch watching some horrible faggots sitting at the picnic tables pretending to have some glamorous lives despite being vapid and pathetic. If you are going to be chatting about something, couldn't you at least pretend to be educated and interesting and get over who fucked who and move on to why John McCain still insists that he could be a good president?
Queera's, or more accurately Vera's, on Lyndale is a great place to go and sit, get a drink and a salad, but all of the drinks are overpriced and all of the people represent the gamut of horrible gays. I understand that some people are pretty, some people preppy, some people edgy and rock and some people really really ghetto, and while it may seem that that smells of diversity but it is actually more about people making each other feel good about themselves by grouping with people who they don't feel are competition.
Galactic pizza is a fantastic place to eat, in case anyone is wondering. They have fair-trade and environmentally friendly business practices, using locally grown materials and supporting local efforts such as Big House Root Beer, which offer opportunities for ex-offenders to transition back into society outside the legal system. Not only that, but it is also fantastic.
